It is very useful and enjoyable to me. I got many friends and I learned how to dance, draw and make sculptures, so I am thanking to Mohanam."

"My name is Thamizhiaruvi. I am studying in Pondicherry. I joined the summer camp.

On the first day, the volunteers asked us to get into groups. They said those who want to learn dance, drama, drawing, sculpture and some games stand separately. I was interested in dance so they took some children to Coconut garden and they taught bharathanaatiyam. I learned the basics of dance.

I made many friends there. In the afternoon, I took lunch with my friends and then acted in a drama program. It was fun!

On the second day we practiced dance for the 6th day programme. The dance is karagattam. Sandhiya & Suryapraba trained us very clearly and and they were very friendly. On third day they taught craft. And we made masks, and we drew and danced. I learned drawing and dance Balu helped us to use the crayons and we draw the picture. I played some games also I enjoyed that day.

On4th day we done some craft works with the coconut shells like a tree. Balu helped us to do it. Afternoon we practiced dance for the programme. I enjoyed that day also. 4th day morning a foreigner named Jivan taught some songs, from America and Africa. I loved the song very much. I enjoyed that class.

On 5th day we practiced only dance for the programme the two sisters were very friendly with us. We also played some games. At 4 pm to 4.30pm a man named Cheenu Tamizhi Mani said something about the environment. While I was listening the class some of my friends disturbed me that one thing I don’t like. I enjoyed that day.

On the last day we practiced dance for half a day then they send us home. I were the new dress for dance and done some make up and came to Mohanam. I was too afraid for performing the dance. Then after I gave my best in performance.

My name is Murugan, from sanjeevinagar village. I have been taking many classes, like Kolattam, Silambam, Drawing, Street theatre, Drums and Folk dance in Mohanam cultural centre last seven years. Than after they made a performing group, now I am all so one of the members in the group, we are ten people in this group, we performed few of the places in India like Delhi, Orissa, Chennai and locally many place. I love this place to learn more. 

My name is Prakash, from Sanjeevinagar village, I am a drop out student, just I studied 10th standard only, when I was 13 year old that time I came to Mohanam for learning dance class than after some time to go, I participate in few of the class like Drawing, Silambam, Kolattam, Karate, Street theatre and Drums. I love to play Drums, in the beginning time the Mohanam support me to go drums class in Pondicherry, than after they are stopped the support but still I continue the class with my own money. And in the week end time I teach the drums class for the Mohanam students, there is 25 students were attending my class. I love to teach them.

I like this five days camp very much, organized by Mohanam Cultural Centre. On the first day, I have learned making crafts with the paper. I have tried them to do at home. They are easy to make, but I have learned only four of them. Then, on the second day, I have learned further more and I have made seven crafts. I was so happy to learn them. Though, I would like to suggest that 'Silmabam', a martial art and some other arts should be taught too. It will make happier.

Vanakkam (Greeting in Tamil). Oyilattam is a wonderful dance. From adults to children everyone can learn and dance. We have a fantastic teacher who teaches us the Oyilattam dance very well. I think this dance will very useful even we’ll become adults. The summer camp helps us to learn this dance. We must focus not only in our studies, but we must also learn an art which will be more useful to us in our future. Mohanam also provide us opportunity to learn Bharatanatyam, Kolattam, Silampattam, Thappattam, Drawing, Handicrafts and many more. The summer holidays camp is more useful to us.

My name is Maheshwari from Sanjeevinagar village, in school annual days I will go to summer camp in Mohanam Cultural centre. In summer camp so many chances to do, there are drawing, dances, clay work, drama, wall painting, sculptures and so many games Elumalai sir is given so many chance to do it I do that. In summer camp I enjoy, in this year summer camp is very different what different means dance sir is coming from Kanyakumari, Nagarkoil, Her family will come today 29.04.10 we learnt Environmental. Environmental is very important to human beings. I like it. I like Mohanam cultural centre. Anitha is teach African dance, the dance and songs and also action, all the masters, sir, miss and some other all take good care of children’s. In first day I was silent because my last year friends are not come, the second day all are came I was so happy, third day I do African dance, I enjoyed the African dance, fourth day same dance and some crafts works, games, tomorrow we are going to celebrating the summer camp last day. I thanks to Mohanam cultural centre and Elumalai sir, Sutha miss Parimala miss and so many masters.

My name is Anandhabaskar, I am 21 years old from Sanjeevinagar village, I am doing MBA in Achariya Arts & Science College, before 8 years ago I was joined in Mohanam cultural centre, the first time I participate in drawing class, I love to draw drawing, this is the special chance for me to learn with out any money. Than after I attend many class in Mohanam like Street theatre, Silambam, Folk dance, Drums, kolattam and singing. It everything is wake up my inner heart to learn more. Here I got lot of friends in this friends are my best friends.

My name is Iswarya from Kotakkarai village, I love to learn dance, I heard about Mohanam cultural centre, there is giving different kind of activity, than I told to my parents to join in Mohanam they also give permission, than I joined in Mohanam for dance class, there is offering folk dance, classical dance, Bharathanaatiyam, yoga, silambam, drawing and puppetry training I attending dance and yoga classes, it is very use full for me, in my school dance competition I got prize this credit everything is going to Mohanam.

My name is Anandavelu from Pudunagar, I don’t like to study but I love to drive bike, just I studied 8th grade only, than after I am roaming around the village with my friends, this time was Mohanam started, myself and some of my friends all joined in Mohanam. in the very beginning time we learnt toys making and after there was lot of arts classes provided in Mohanam, I attend some of the classes like kolattam, silambam, karate, drums, and dance I love to attend all the classes. `

My name is Jothibaskar from Sanjeevinagar village, my baby is studying in the Mohanam kindergarten her name is Kamalini, Mohanam kindergarten is running very successfully last seven years, and it is running in my village so it is very advantage one for us. In this kindergarten they are teaching playing way method, so all the children’s are catching very easily what they are teaching. They are taking care of each individual child’s. And they are organizing monthly once education trip and medical checkup it is very useful for the children’s.

Mohanam kindergarten running building is very old one, here is lots of children’s are studying, so please check the status of building and build a new building.
