Auroville Bamboo Centre

Auroville Bamboo Research Centre was founded in 2009 to bring awareness of the many applications of bamboo to the people in the Auroville community and to the villages in the Auroville bioregion.

Global Sustainable Tourism Council

The GSTC is the international accreditation body that establishes and manages standards for sustainability in travel and tourism, with the aim of increasing sustainable tourism knowledge and practices among public and private stakeholders.

Auroville Village Action Group

AVAG envisions the realisation of a future that is equally inclusive of all sections of society, culturally rich, economically and ecologically sustainable. The organization collaborates with rural communities to reveal their innate wisdom and ability to collectively determine and manifest their fullest potential.

Lively Boutique

Lively Boutique promotes and sells products designed and created by local women from the villages surrounding Auroville. The project empowers village women by training them in tailoring and embroidery.

Puducherry Department of Tourism

We partner with the Puducherry Government's Department of Tourism to offer responsible, cultural experiences in the villages of Tamil Nadu. You can explore some of the government's other projects on their website linked below.

The American University of Paris

The American University of Paris sends interns to Mohanam every year to work on media/communications projects. It is a private, independent, and accredited liberal arts and sciences university based in Paris, France. 

DakshinaChitra Living Museum

DakshinaChitra is an exciting cross cultural living museum of art, architecture, lifestyles, crafts and performing arts of South India. The main mission is to exhibit, promote and preserve aspects of the broader, more inclusive cultures of the states and to bring these arts to the public in a participative, enjoyable and engaging way.
